Please note that vacuum packing is not a substitute for proper freezing, cooling or other food preservation methods. Shelf life depends on many factors.

Maintain normal food storage and hygiene procedures. Always wait for food to cool to room temperature before vacuum packing.

Do not continue pumping if you feel resistance: over-vacuuming can deform the lid and impair vacuum performance. Clean with a dry cloth.

Vacuum performance will naturally diminish over time; this is normal. For use with Pyrex vacuum preservation range® Cook&Save.

  • Close the lid

    Close the lid properly, leaving the green valve open, then press the valve closed.

  • Installing the pump

    Place the hand pump directly on the green valve.

    To open the vacuum container, lift the green valve to release the vacuum.
