Apple and blackberry puff pastry roses

  • 3 apples
  • 1 lemons
  • 100g fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 2 puff pastry
  • 6 tbsp. applesauce
  • A little water

Recipe

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Cut apples into thin strips.

Step 3

Place the slices in a container with a little water, lemon juice and the blackberries.

Step 4

Place the container in the microwave for 2-3 minutes to soften the apples.

Step 5

Lightly crush the blackberries to release their color and return to the microwave for 1 minute.

Step 6

On each strip, spread a spoonful of compote, then arrange the apple slices on the top half of the strip.

Step 7

Gently roll the strip over itself to form a rose.

Step 8

Place each rose in a muffin tin.

Step 9

Bake at 180°C for approx. 30-40 minutes, until golden brown.
