  • 2 white fish fillets (cod, coalfish, hake)
  • 2tbsp flour
  • 100ml sparkling water
  • 1tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 3 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, pepper and spices of your choice (paprika, herbes de Provence...)

Recipe

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200°C.

Step 2

Prepare the fries: Peel potatoes and cut into fries.

Step 3

Brush with olive oil, salt, pepper and selected spices. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through.

Step 4

Prepare the fish: Mix the flour and sparkling water. The consistency of your batter should not be too liquid, otherwise add more flour. Sprinkle flour over each fish fillet, then dip into the batter.

Step 5

Place on a baking sheet. Place the fish next to the fries in the oven for the last 15 minutes, until golden and crisp. Place under the grill for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Serve hot, with tartar sauce and fresh lemon.
